About the Author

Michael has been involve in IT since he was 12, where he could be found programming a VIC 20, Apple IIe or eventually an IBM XT.

Michael has worked professionally as a System Engineer, Network Engineer and Software Developer, Designer and Architect for various companies.  Michael has developed & designed applications on many platforms:

  • Mobile
  • Embedded
  • Desktop (Windows/Linux)
  • Enterprise N-Tier Ssytems

His undergrad studies included Computer Science from VCU and Technical Management from Devry.  Michael obtained a Masters in Information System Management, with a focus on Security Management.

Current certifications include:

  • EC Councils Certified Ethical Hacker
  • Offensive Security Certified Penetration Tester

Michael works as a Security Engineer / Application Penetration Tester.


This blog is about Bitcoins as I find them.   I wrote a book geared to helping people get started with Bitcoins, in a safe, secure and swift manner.

    Have you heard any updates on bitinstant? Any comparable markets with the ease of moneygram etc? Thanks for any info

      Coinbase is actually what I use now since Bit Instant closed. I’ve been meaning to update the book. Coinbase once linked to an account makes it really easy to move BTC to and From currency.
